Summit Salon Business Center (SSBC) and Summit Salon Consulting group (SSCG) have a deep personal commitment to keeping the independent salon alive, open and profitable, and to the principle of "passing it on" so that our industry will be strong and prosperous for generations to come.
The SSBC Mission is to keep the independent salon alive by providing business consulting services to all facets of the beauty industry; including salons & day spas, cosmetology schools and distributors to promote growth and prosperity.
The SSBC Vision is to improve the beauty industry "one person at a time" by "passing it on" so that our industry will be strong and prosperous for generations to come.
The SSBC Culture is the foundation upon which we strive to create value for our clients and deliver exceptional service to their leaders, employees and salon guests. Company History
1992 - Data Analysis founded 1993 - KRS Consulting Group was founded in 1993 by Randy and Sharon Kunkel to provide consulting services to salons and day spas. The company's mission at that time was a simple one: "to keep the independent salon alive". 1996 - First Distributor endorsement from Marshall's Supply 1997 - Company headquarters moved to Chicago 1999 - Began strategic partnership with Michael Cole & Salon Development Corp. 2001 - Company headquarters moved to Minneapolis 2002 - Additional partners join ownership group 2002 - Sister company, Summit Salon Business College is founded with Michael & Mary Cole 2005 - KRS Consulting Group receives 3 year endorsement contract with Redken 2006 - Opened Summit Salon Business Center's Tampa, Florida and Halifax, Nova Scotia Location 2007 - Re-launched the KRS Summit Salon Network as a complimentary subscription service 2009 - Summit Salon Business Center and KRS Consulting Group merge to form the world's largest salon and spa business center. 2010 - Summit Salon Business Center is endorsed by L'Oreal's Professional Products Division.
